How to upload your single player save to your ark server

To upload your single player save to your ark server all you have to do is follow these simple steps.

To get your Save from Steam

  1. Open Steam on your PC
  2. Right click on your Ark installation and select “properties”
  3. Select “Local Files” on the left side and “Browse” in the upper right corner
  4. Under the following path you will find your saved game:
  • \steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\SavedArksLocal
  1. In this directory you will find 3 files
  • .ark -> contains your saved world
  • .arkprofile -> contains your player data
  • .arktribe -> contains the tribe info

Uploading the save

Using FTP

  1. Once you have logged into your control panel stop the server using the power actions
  2. Establish an FTP connection
  3. On the right side you will see the server data, on the left, will be the files on your pc
  4. On the right side navigate to /ShooterGame/Saved/SavedArks
  5. Load your files into this folder
  6. Change the name of the file localplayer.arkprofile by replacing “localplayer” with your SteamID64
  7. Finally change the map on the control panel to the map that was saved on your save game
  8. Start your server

On the Panel

  1. Once you have logged into your control panel stop the server using the power actions.
  2. Go to Files
  3. Find the directory container/ShooterGame/Saved.SavedArks
  4. Upload your files into this folder
  5. Change the name of the file ‘localplayer.arkprofile’ by replacing ‘localplayer’ with your SteamId64
  6. Finally change the map on the control panel to the map that was saved on your save game
  7. Start your server.

Note: if you don’t know your steamid64 you can look it up here.

Once the server starts, your single player save should have uploaded.
